Marketing Education and Early Industry Experience
Umansky graduated from Emerson College in May 2018. Bravo identified Marketing Communications as her field of study, while her employer also connects her education to marketing communication. The Agency incorrectly refers to the institution as “Emerson University,” but its official name is Emerson College.
Her introduction to real estate began before she obtained a professional license. She has said that she accompanied her father, Mauricio Umansky, to property showings and open houses. Watching agents interact with clients and guide them through decisions helped develop her interest in the business.
The Agency states that she later worked as an assistant to experienced professionals at the brokerage. Although her employer does not provide exact dates or a detailed list of those responsibilities, the role gave her additional industry exposure before she joined the Umansky Team.
The California Department of Real Estate issued her salesperson license on June 5, 2019. The state record classifies her as a licensed salesperson rather than a real estate broker and lists UMRO Realty Corp. as the responsible broker.
Her Responsibilities at The Agency
At The Agency, Umansky represents both buyers and sellers through the Umansky Team. Her employer also identifies her as the team’s marketing specialist, giving her a role that extends beyond showing properties or assisting with negotiations.
Her brokerage profile lists Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and the Sunset Strip as her principal areas of specialization. These locations describe the geographic focus reported by her employer but do not necessarily represent the full limits of her practice.
Her career developed within a brokerage founded by her father and through the family-connected Umansky Team. She has identified experienced relatives and Agency colleagues as resources for advice, market information, and additional professional opinions. Her active state license and documented transaction work establish her regulated professional role.
How Property Marketing Supports Her Sales Work
Marketing is a defined part of Umansky’s position rather than a separate interest. Her responsibilities include helping develop messaging and promotional campaigns for properties while using social media to communicate with potential clients.
She has explained that part of her public-facing strategy is to make real estate information easier for first-time buyers to understand. Her content has addressed practical subjects such as escrow and the preparation involved before purchasing a home. The goal, according to her own account, is to become an approachable resource for people who may be unfamiliar with the buying process.
Her Marketing Communications background is relevant to her marketing-specialist role and her stated effort to explain purchasing concepts to first-time buyers.
Documented Property Transactions
One documented early transaction involved a traditional Bel Air home that sold for $6.1 million. Architectural Digest reported in January 2022 that Umansky shared the listing with Mauricio Umansky and Farrah Brittany. Because the property was family-owned and the listing involved three agents, the sale should be understood as a team transaction rather than an individual result attributed solely to Alexia.
She was also among the agents marketing 901 North Alpine Drive, a Beverly Hills estate advertised for rent at $150,000 per month. The Agency identified the participating agents, and Umansky announced on August 7, 2024, that the property had been leased. The advertised monthly figure was the asking rate; the final negotiated amount was not disclosed.
In May 2026, Inman reported that she had helped buyer clients acquire a property listed at $14 million, describing it as a career high. The report did not identify the address, closing date, final purchase price, or any other participating agents. The transaction therefore offers evidence of her work with a major buyer-side acquisition, but the $14 million figure refers to the listing price rather than a publicly established closing price.
These examples cover different parts of her work: shared property listings, luxury leasing, and buyer representation. They also illustrate why team involvement and advertised prices must be separated from individual production or final transaction terms.
Building Experience and Client Confidence
Umansky has identified attracting clients as the main challenge of her early career. In a March 2024 interview with The Agency, she acknowledged that prospective clients often prefer established professionals who already have extensive experience.
Her response was to be open when she did not know an answer. Rather than presenting herself as more experienced than she was, she said she would research the issue and seek opinions from several knowledgeable colleagues. She regarded questions, feedback, and access to experienced professionals as practical tools for developing her abilities.
She has offered similar advice to newer agents, encouraging them to ask for help, business opportunities, feedback, and market information. Her account presents learning as an active part of professional work rather than something that ends after licensing.
Public exposure of her early mistakes initially made her concerned that potential clients might question her competence. In an October 2022 interview with People, she said she later recognized that an imperfect learning process could be relatable to others beginning their careers. She described the concern as part of that early stage of her professional development.
Working Habits and Team Collaboration
Lists, calendar entries, and reminders form the practical foundation of Umansky’s working routine. She has said that she relies heavily on these tools to organize responsibilities and keep track of tasks.
When professional situations become demanding, she tries to slow down, breathe, and address each part of the problem in sequence. She attributed that methodical approach to longstanding advice from her father. For her, moving carefully through a difficult situation reduces the likelihood of avoidable mistakes.
Her interest in collaboration also extends to the workplace. In a May 2026 interview with Inman, she said she helped establish informal gatherings known as “Simply Socials.” The gatherings were intended to maintain personal connections and cooperation among colleagues.
Simply Socials appears to be an internal activity rather than a formal public program. Even so, it provides a specific example of how she has participated in office culture beyond individual property assignments. She has described personal connections as an important part of how colleagues at The Agency communicate and work together.
Her Current Position in Real Estate
Umansky directly confirmed in May 2026 that she remained active in real estate despite more difficult market conditions. Her California salesperson license was also active in the state record retrieved in August 2026, with an expiration date of June 15, 2027.
Her work takes place within a team that recorded substantial recent production. Using 2025 sales data, RealTrends reported that the Umansky Team completed 53 transaction sides and $352.45 million in volume. It ranked the group No. 21 nationally among small teams by volume in its 2026 program. Those numbers belong to the entire team and are not her individual sales totals.
The team was also named a finalist for the 2026 Inman Golden I Club Top Luxury Team award, with The Agency identifying Alexia among its members. The recognition was a team finalist designation rather than an individual award, and another group ultimately won the category.
From early shadowing and assistant work, Umansky progressed into licensed client representation and team marketing responsibilities. Her 2026 comments indicate that she remains active in real estate, with continued learning, buyer education, and workplace collaboration forming practical parts of her professional approach.
